Event description This course will provide practitioners with an introduction on how to recognise, record and refer child protection concerns.

 
Training objectives By the end of this course participants will be able to:

- Recognise how their own personal knowledge and feeling may affect their approach to child abuse.
- Meet their own, and their agencies legal responsibilities for safeguarding children.
- Describe the 4 types of abuse.
- Recognise the signs, symptoms and indicators of abuse and neglect.
- Respond effectively when children want to disclose.
- Record and refer child protection concerns.
